Our Sydney studio has been very busy lately, putting the finishing touches on a few beautiful rooms before we head off to Maison et Objet and Paris Design Week in September. We’re counting down the days!
We recently received a brief from our client to create a calm and relaxing, but usable space for everyday living in a newly renovated family room overlooking their garden. We wanted the space to be luxurious with an understated elegance that invites you to relax and feel comfortable without worrying about high-maintenance furniture. No white sofas!
A huge bespoke sofa for lounging with the whole family was chosen along with a beautiful custom-made textured rug to define the space and create a sumptuous feeling under the feet.
Gorgeous exposed timber occasional chairs were used to bring texture and individuality to the space while the graphic scatter cushions complemented the versatile ottomans under the window. Natural textures were used throughout the room to create a casual feeling while maintaining an effortless elegance with hard woods, marble and linen.
We love the way the space flows from the kitchen into the living room, transitioning with textures of woods and textiles that connect the spaces while giving them their own identities.
It was such a pleasure to work in this space and we can’t wait to see the beautiful art our client chooses to give the space a final personal touch.
