We thought we’d start something new this year and introduce a simple weekly roundup of the beautiful things that are inspiring us or making our eyes glaze over with desire.
From Paris to Sydney, here’s our first Five Chic Finds This Week post of the year.
We’re completely in love with Hélène Paris and her amazing illustrations, particularly the jellyfish. Something sinister always bubbles away underneath her fresh pastel colours.
If you’re in Paris, we picked up a couple of prints over the holiday season at L’illustre boutique in the gorgeous Passage du Grand Cerf. It’s a tiny store filled with beautiful prints that won’t break your carte bleue.
We received this amazing carafe from Country Road Home as a gift during for the holidays this year and we’re loving it’s daily presence on our table. The round cork fits snugly in the top of the glass and makes for a wonderfully graphic silhouette.
It’s no secret that we’re a little obsessed with Lanvin and these perfect sunglasses are one of the reasons why. Despite the gloomy weather in Paris at the moment, we might have to pop into the boutique on rue du Faubourg St Honoré to pick these up for spring.
Another gift we received during the holidays, this is a wonderful resource for the kitchen featuring a breathtaking array of flavour combinations.
The Flavour Thesaurus methodically pairs each featured flavour with the others in the book to help demystify the reasons why some foods pair better than others. The book itself looks beautiful on the shelf, or the kitchen bench.
We were in Limoges over the holidays and had we seen these gorgeous candles we may have missed our return train to Paris trying to decide which one to take home. Thankfully, the Kartomancie collection by Kohl are available in Paris.
